Healthy Nutrition Diet
As you get older, your metabolism starts to slow down: your body takes longer to burn u calories and so you put on weight. Now's time to discover how to eat both less and more healthy.
No more diets
Slimming diets are bound to fail, because, as soon as you stop dieting, you quickly put back a the weight you have lost. A better method is to reduce the size of the portions and to be more selective about what you eat. To eat less whilst still enjoying your food, take the advice of a psychologist; adopt the habit of leaving at least a quarter of your meal on the plate. This way you will learn to eat less as well as realizing there's nothing wrong with leaving some of the food you have been served.
Avoid too much fat
Fat contains 9 calories per gram, compared with only 4 calories per gram in proteins and carbohydrates. Make sure you remove the fat from ham; choose white meats; cook with olive oil (its the only one that remains stable at high temperatures); soak up excess any fat from food with a paper towel; beware of rich saucers. Grill, steam or stir-fry rather than fry your food.
Don't skip meals
You must eat a decent breakfast. Eat a healthy snacks diet if you can't hold out until lunchtime; a banana between 10 and 11 o'clock is ideal. Choose a mixed salad for lunch and keep the fruit for when you feel a bit peckish at about 4 o'clock. Don't eat dessert at dinner. Put it to one side and if you feel hungry later in the evening, you can eat it then. Healthy diet meals is also a great option for you.
