Introduce Some Color
Grey hair suits some women, especially these who have had grey hair since they were quite young. However when you are around the age of fifty, it nearly always puts years on you. So it is time to do something about it.
At the salon or at home?
To begin with, it is not a problem, because the first grey hairs can be removed with tweezers. This method can work well for a bit but, sooner or later, you will have to give it u, because there will be just too many grey hairs to deal with.
For a while, all you will need is a coloring cream to hide the grey hairs without darkening the natural color of the rest. You can get your hairdresser to do this or you can do it at home in less than an hour. Remember that from middle age onwards, colors that are too dark wi tend to make you look older. Your main problem, therefore, is in choosing the right shade - it needs to be dark enough to conceal your grey hairs but light enough notto make your features look too harsh.
Different products
Temporary or semi-permanent coloring products are becoming more and more effective and easy to use but the color will begin to fade after a certain number of hair washes. When, after a few attempts, you have found the right color, you might feel confident enough to use two slightly different shades. If so, apply the lighter shade around your face to give your skin more color. If your hair is predominantly grey, it is better to ask your hairdresser to give you a permanent color, using stronger products that penetrate the sheath of the hair. Make sure you keep an eye on the roots though and take the necessary action as soon as they become noticeable.
