Keep Your Face In Good Shape

As you grow older, your face loses its firm shape. Just how it does so, depends on your skin type. Thin skins tend to wrinkle, whilst thick ones sag. But don't panic! Just tone up your face.

Products to firm up your face
Skin toning products aim to stimulate the production of collagen, protect fibroblasts (cells in connective tissue responsible for producing fibers) from internal and external damage, boost blood flow and drain away toxins.

You will find many such products in the shops. Their effect is usually indicated by their name, which must include such words as 'Lift', 'Firmness' and 'Firm'. Look closely at what is written on the packaging and go for well-known brands.

How to tone up your face

  • Take the opportunity to massage in face cream by making little rising circular movements with your fingertips. To tone up the area around your lips forward as if blowing into a trumpet and then purse them as if playing a flute.
  • Keep your toning lotion and mineral water spray in the refrigerator. They will be more effective.
  • Avoid overheated rooms and sleep with a window open.
  • Gently massage above and below the eyebrows, working from the nose outwards. This is guaranteed to drain the skin and relieve stress.

Some Facts

  • Ask a beautician to teach you the 'Jacquet pinchings'. This is when you pinch the skin firmly enough to tone up the epidermis (outermost layer of skin) but gently enough not to stretch it.
  • Hold your head up to disguise a double chin.
