Women tend to neglect their neck. This is a pity, because it often gives away their age more obviously than their face or body. Take an honest look at your neck and start to give it all the attention and special treatments it deserves.
Always hold your head high
the neck has a distressing tendency to wrinkle. If you want to avoid being condemned t wearing collars, scarves and other means of concealment some years from now, begin by holding your head and your chin high. This will firm up the muscles of the neck and also prevent another widespread curse, the double chin.
Daily exercises
Every morning do these exercises:
- Keeping your shoulders still, turn your neck as far as you can so that you can see behind you (6 times to the left, 6 times to the right)
- Tip your head backwards as if studying the ceiling. Hold the position for 2 seconds, and then lower your head to touch the chest with the chin (10 times).
- Keeping your shoulders still, swivel your head round without stopping (6 times from left to right, 6 times from right to left).
Massage and moisturize
Use a cream specially prepared for the neck, or a face cream rather than a body cream. Take the opportunity to give yourself a quick massage. Apply the cream with your fingertips using firm, circular and upward movements.
Some Facts
- The sun harms your neck more than anything else does. Never go out without first putting on sunscreen.
- Walking around like a queen is a great asset. Keep your head high and your neck straight.
