What Your Body Says

Your silhouette changes with the years: it's a fact that can't be ignores. Learn to recognize and understand the signs you body sends you, so that you can act effectively as soon as problems appear.

The signs of aging and their causes

The main signs of aging are as follows:

  • The formation of cellulite:
water retention; unsuitable diet; lack of physical exercise.
  • Sagging muscles, loss of skin elasticity:
reduced hormones production; lack of exercise.
  • Dry, rough skin:
reduced activity in the sebaceous glands; lack of moisturizing.
  • Increased waistline, appearance of a tummy:
Over-production of androgens relative to oestogens; living a sedentary life; intestinal problems.
  • Back pain or joint pains, loss of suppleness:
Osteorthritis, beginning of decalcification (bone loss leading to osteoporosis); muscular tension.
  • Sagging and shrinking breasts:
Lack of oestogen directly caused by the menopause; inevitable consequence of the law of gravity.

Make sure you don't get a tummy

That's your first objective. Change your eating habits so you don't suffer from a distended stomach. Take more time over your meals, chew them more, reduce the amount of raw vegetables, garlic and onions you eat (to avoid wind and bloating). Avoid constipation by walking more, drinking more water and adding fiber to your breakfast cereals. Make sure you stand up straight and hold in your tummy.

Some Facts

  • Once a week look at yourself naked in the mirror.
  • A large stomach and lack of agility will age you more far than wrinkles.
  • To avoid getting a tummy, do some abdominal exercises every day.
