Woman Inferior To Man
You use up a tremendous amount of energy in order to stay young, beautiful, active and dynamic. To please yourselves - yes - but above all to continue to please 'them'. When all this effort starts to get you down, take a little look at them: they are getting older too!
They age more quickly than you
Man seeks his pleasure, woman seeks to please. This is undeniable and explains many of the differences in behavior between the sexes. Magazines, television, family, the whole of society 'compel' a woman to be beautiful and desirable and, if she isn't, she ceases to be considered a woman. The pressure is immense and we submit to it meekly, sometimes blindly. As for a man, he doesn't worry too much about his appearance. One look at the prematurely bald heads, the paunches and the hardly seductive love handles ought to be enough to lift your spirits when you are feeling blue and to be proud that you are fifty and looking after yourself so much better.
They have their problems too
The male menopause can arrive surreptitiously, settle in and develop all without the man knowing. The most obvious symptom - and the only one that really seems to bother men - is decline in sexual performance. This is even more difficult for men to go through, because they know little or nothing about their own physiology and are a million miles away from thinking that their erection difficulties might be due to hormonal causes. This new situation is often accompanied by a loss of energy and lack of motivation, sometimes depression. A dose of hormones would establish if the problem actually was a lack of testosterone (less than 2000 pg/ml), in which case it would be totally feasible to consider replacement therapy, along the same lines as women.
Some Facts
- It is tricky for a couple approaching the fifty-year mark and facing up to the fact that they are both getting old, but they must do all they can to keep communicating.
- If your partner is no longer the man he was, don't, above all, make a drama of it. Encourage him to see a doctor and not to give up trying.
