Causes of skin boils
The bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus also called to as "staph" or "golden staph" causes boils. Boils usually occur when one or more hair follicles become infected with staphylococcus aureus. As it infects the skin, sometimes it infects your throat and nasal passages, and gives rise to a number of serious diseases such as meningitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections and endocarditis. Bacteria enter into the body through cuts, scratches, and other breaks in the skin.

As soon as the bacteria enters into the body through the skin cuts the infection-fighting white blood cells comes to the site which leads to inflammation and the formation of pus. Pus is nothing but a collection of white blood cells, bacteria and dead skin cells.
