Detox In The Spring
At the first sign of spring your skin will start demanding a particular kind of care. It's time to scrub away the winter mouths, refresh and rejuvenate your skin and work out a detox programme.
Spring-clean your body
In spring your body needs to be drained of all the toxins accumulated during winter (such as lactic and uric acid). This means reinvigorating the eliminatory organs - liver, kidneys, lungs and skin. the best treatments are the most natural ones: plants, fruit juices or vegetables. To drain your face, remove all make-up and cleanse thoroughly. Then apply a gentle, circular palm massage positioning the hands as follows:
- Cheeks: put your hands on your cheeks above the side of the nose. Hold this position for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Chin and facial contour: rest your chin in the palms of your hands which should be joined together at the wrists. Enclose the oval of your hands. Hold this position for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Ears: place your hands at the base of your ears. Hold the position for around 10 seconds.
