Skin care is the most important part of our daily regime. Here are few tips on skin care:

  • How to lighten marks
    Place a lemon directly on spot for ten minutes. Rinse with warm water. The mark will fade away in a few days time.
  • How to remove blackheads
    To remove blackheads, mix two tablespoon of oatmeal, four tablespoon of plain curd, one-tablespoon lemon juice and one tablespoon of olive oil into a paste and gently apply to skin. Leave it on for five minutes and rinse with cold water. Let your face air-dry.
  • How to get rid of pimples
    • Dab with lemon juice a few times a day or some toothpaste on it. It works wonders. You can also saturate a tea bag in warm water and press on affected area for 5 minutes then rinse.
    • Apply black pepper powder on pimples to get rid of them.
    • Rub ice on an emerging pimple for 30 to 40 seconds. Apply clove oil and leave it on until it dries completely. Your pimple will soon vanish.
  • To remove burnmarks
    Asafoetida added in coconut water can remove burn marks in 15 days time.
  • To have wrinkle free skin
    Soak gram in water and apply on your face. This will improve the texture of your skin and make it wrinkle free.

Eyes are the most important and best part of human body and vision is the most wonderful gift. Eyes are the most important feature of the human face, as they express emotions and moods .Here are few tips on eye care:

  • How to get rid of puffy eyes
    Put cool slices of cucumbers on your eyes or soak two tea bags & place in freezer for a few minutes, place on eyes & lay back & relax.
  • Eye Cream
    Before going to bed; apply castor oil around your eyes. Plastic surgeons use this on their patients after surgery.
  • To get rid of under-eye circles
    • Avoid salty foods and alcohol in the evening. Both cause water retention, which aggravates puffiness.
    • Drink at least eight glasses of water daily.
    • Upon waking, place chilled tea bags (caffeinated) on eyelids. Place it for ten minutes. Then rinse face with cold water.
    • Firming eye gel should be applied that contains anti-inflammatory ingredients like cucumber, aloe and white willow.

    Keep your makeup fresh by applying makeup, spray mineral water on your face and let dry. Do not wipe.

    Almond or sesame oil on a cotton ball will do a great job of taking off makeup, including waterproof mascara.

    To seal eyeliner in place, trace over the line with a powder shadow in a matching shade. Another good tip is to use a fine brush, dip it in water then your powdered shadow and then trace over your liner.

Miscellaneous

Apply Vaseline petroleum jelly to your feet, then cover with cotton socks to get instant smooth feet overnight. Remove socks in the morning and your dry rough feet of yesterday are baby smooth.

To get rid of cracks on heels
Apply the sap of mango leaves on cracks on heels. Split open a vitamin E capsule and gently massaging its oil onto the feet, you can treat dry feet.

Apply a paste of olive oil, salt and corn flour. Wash carefully with warm water added with a few drops of rose water.
