  1. Skin Cancer

    Sunburn and UV light can damage your skin, and can lead to skin cancer. Overexposure to the sun can lead to skin cancer. Also the amount of sun received over the years can also lead to cancer. Most of the people receive 80% of their lifetime exposure to the sun by 18 years of age. Tanning is a protective reaction of the skin to prevent further injury to your skin, but however, it does not prevent skin cancer. Skin cancer is very slow to develop. If there is a history of skin cancer in your family, then there is high risk of having it in you. To avoid the skin cancer avoid more exposure to sun and use a high SPF sunscreen.

  2. Skin Tags

    A skin tag consists of a bit of skin that projects from the surrounding skin and may appear attached to the skin. It appears as a smooth or irregular, flesh colored or more deeply pigmented, and either simply be raised above the surrounding skin or have a stalk so that the skin tag hangs from the skin. Skin tags can appear anywhere on the body. Generally it appears on the eyelids, neck, armpits (axillae), upper chest, and groin. It occurs most often with age beginning in middle age and more prevalent in women than men.

  3. Spider veins

    Spider veins are often red or blue and are closer to the surface of the skin. It look like tree branches or spider webs with their short jagged lines. It generally found on the face, thighs, calves and ankles. It can cover either a very small or very large area of skin. It is similar to varicose veins, but varicose veins are larger while spider veins are smaller. Half of the adult womens are bothered with this common cosmetic problem.

  4. Squamous cell carcinoma

    Squamous cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer. The squamous cell is found in the outer layers of the skin that is in the epidermis and makes the protein keratin. Squamous cell carcinomas grows slowly and steadily and can invade neighboring tissue, like the eye. If it is not treated early it can also spread to distant parts of the body.

    Over 90% of skin cancers occur due to overexposure to the sunlight or other ultraviolet radiation. It generally appears on the face, ears, neck, hands, arms. it may also occur on the lip, mouth, tongue, genitals or other areas.

  5. Stasis dermatitis

    Stasis dermatitis also called as venous stasis ulcers is caused due to fluid building up under the skin. This fluid buildup, or swelling, is caused due to poor circulation in the veins. This poor circulation can lead to ulcers in the skin. Stasis dermatitis generally appears as a rash on the lower legs. Generally the inner lower leg is more involved than the outer lower leg.

    As people grows older the veins which carry blood from the legs back to the heart do not work. which in turn causes the fluid to settle in the lower legs resulting in swelling and a rash. Sometimes this rash breaks down into a sore resulting in a stasis ulcer.

  6. Tick bite

    Ticks are tiny, biting insects usually found in woods and fields. They feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals, including humans. It can be large about the size fo a pencil eraser or may be very small that unable to see. It attaches to your skin firmly and begin to draw blood and eventually drop off when they become engorged with blood. Ticks move to the warm, moist location of your body like the armpits, groin, and hair. It can cause harmless to serious conditions.

    Generally most of the ticks do not carry diseases, but some ticks can cause Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Colorado tick fever, and tularemia. Secretions from the tick's feeding parts can cause skin reactions, such as lumps, raised areas, and growths called granulomas.

  7. Tinea barbae

    Tinea barbae is kind of fungal infection of the hair. It appears usually on the beard and moustache areas of the face with a dermatophyte fungus. It generally affects only adult men. It is found to be common among agricultural workers, as the transmission is more common from animal-to-human than human-to-human. It is caused due to zoophilic (animal) fungus i.e T. verrucosum (originating from cattle) and T. mentagrophytes var. equinum (originating from horses).

  8. Tinea capitis

    Tinea capitis also called ringworm of the scalp is fungal infection of the scalp caused due to fungi called dermatophytes. It may include the hair of head, eyebrows, and eyelashes. It is transferred by contact with animals like dogs, cats, cows, hamsters and guinea pigs. This skin disorder generally affects childrens and can be persistent and contagious. This fungus is zoophilic (animal) fungus, it grows naturally on an animal rather than a human.

  9. Tinea cruris

    Also called as jock itch or ringworm, tinea cruris is an fungal infection of the groin area caused by fungi. Our body is a host of variety of bacteria, some of these are useful to the body, while others can multiply rapidly and form infections. Tinea cruris occurs when a particular type of fungus grows and multiplies in the groin area. It generally occurs in adult men. Tinea cruris grows in warm, and moist areas. It may be contagious and can pass from one person to the next by direct skin-to-skin contact or contact with unwashed clothing.

  10. Tinea pedis
    Also called as athlete's foot tinea pedis is a fungal infection caused due to a dermatophyte fungus. It grows in moist and warm area. It appears in the folds between the toes. It becomes worse in hot weather, in some people tinea pedis can get so bad that blisters can form. Not all foot rashes are tinea pedis, only those caused due to fungi are tinea pedis. Tinea pedis can affects all ages but it is probably more common in young adults. Tight-fitting shoes are a common cause of tinea pedis.
