  1. Tinea unguium
    Tinea unguium is a fungal infection of the nails. It is also called as a ringworm of nails. The nails become brittle, thickened, dull, and easily breakable. Sometimes, the surrounding skin can become infected and lead to skin inflammation. Its infection may involve one or more nails but usually not all nails. Treatment of toenails are difficult to treat while fingernails can usually be successfully treated. Anti-fungus pills are used usually to treat the tinea unguium.

  2. Tinea versicolor
    Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection caused by the fungus Pityrosporum ovale, a yeast type of fungus. It is a chronic fungal infection. This fungus is normally occurs on the human skin, but becomes troublesome under certain circumstances. It generally appears on the back, underarms, upper arms, chest, and neck. It's symptoms look like a lesion as a flat discoloration with a sharp border and fine scales. These lesions are typically dark tan with a reddish cast. It is most commonly appears in adolescent and young adult males and associated with hot climates and increased sweating.

  3. Tinea
    Tinea is a kind of fungal skin infection caused due to a dermatophyte fungus. Depending on the which part of the body is infected, it is categorized as:
    • Tinea capitis (head)
    • Tinea barbae (beard)
    • Tinea unguium (nail)
    • Tinea faciei (face)
    • Tinea manuum (hand)
    • Tinea pedis (foot)
    • Tinea cruris (groin)
    • Tinea corporis (body)
    While tinea versicolor, tinea incognito, and tinea nigra are somewhat different as tinea versicolor is caused due to yeast infection, tinea incognito is caused due to inappropriate treatment, and tinea nigra affects the palms or soles which appear brown or black.

  4. Tungiasis
    Tungiasis is a skin infestation of the Tunga penetrans flea also known as jigger, chigoe flea, nigua or sand flea. The parasitic Tunga penetrans flea found in soil and sand. They feeds on warm-blooded animals like cattle, sheep, dogs, mice, humans and other animals.

    The female flea burrows head-first into the skin, often leaving the caudal tip of its abdomen visible through an orifice in a skin lesion. In the next two weeks, the flea releases about 100 eggs through the orifice, the female flea then dies and is sloughed by the host's skin. In the next three to four days, the eggs hatch and mature into adult fleas within three to four weeks. It is most oftenly found in the tropical parts of Africa, Caribbean, Central and South America, and India.

  5. Vitiligo
    It is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes in the skin, the mucous membranes, and the retina are destroyed, resulting as a white patches of skin that appear on different parts of the body. Also the hairs that grow in affected areas usually turns white.

    The exact cause of vitiligo is unknown, but there are several theories available. One theory says that people develop antibodies that destroy the melanocytes in their own bodies, while another theory is that melanocytes destroy themselves. Some people have reported that a single event such as sunburn or emotional distress triggered vitiligo.

  6. Warts
    Warts are a type of viral infection caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) family virus. There are 100 types of viruses in the HPV family. It can appear on parts of body. They can grow on your skin, on inside of your mouth, on your rectal area and on your genitals, but are usually found on the fingers, hands, and feet. Some types of HPV causes warts on the skin, while other HPV types causes warts on the genitals and rectal area. Types of warts include:
    • Common Warts: Its symptoms look like a small, hard bump that's dome-shaped and usually grayish-brown. It often has a rough surface. It generally found on fingers, hands, knees, and elbows.
    • Flat Warts: Flat warts also called as juvenile warts are about the size of a pinhead, are smoother than other kinds of warts, and have flat tops. Its color may be pink, light brown, or yellow. It generally appears on face, but they can also grow on arms, knees, or hands and can appear in clusters.
    • Plantar Warts: Planter warts are found on the bottom of the foot. It causes uncomfort while walking.
    • Filiform Warts: It look like a finger-like shape, and are usually flesh-colored. Most oftenly grow on or around the mouth, eyes, or nose.
