Symptoms of Skin Fungus
- Athlete's foot
Its symptoms include itching and burning of feet. In severe cases, there may be some cracking, pain and bleeding as well.
While it may have red, scaly bumps filled with pus on the bottoms and sides of their feet. If the skin is injured by the fungus, bacteria can also invade the skin and these bacteria can cause a bad smell.
- Jock itch
Its rash starts in the groin fold usually on both sides and advances down the inner thigh. A rash appears with a elevated edges. It is itchy and feels like burning. The skin within the border turns a reddish-brown and loses much of its scale. This causes due to sweat and wearing athletic equipments.
- Ringworm
It begins as a small pimple or scaly patch that looks like dandruff. The pimple or patch grows into large rings or circles. It can create scaly patches of baldness, but the hair will grow back.
- Candida
The skin around the infected area to itch. The skin may also become red and swollen. The yeast grows in warm and moist areas, so usually it grows in the skin folds under the breast, stomach, and armpits.
